Reward Loyal APC support groups - TFG Founder, Hon. Olusola Orelaja, advise President Tinubu

Abuja, Nigeria — The Founder of the Tinubu Faithful Group (TFG), Hon. Olusola Orelaja, has expressed deep concern over the continued exclusion of dedicated party loyalists from key political appointments under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking during a media briefing with journalists in Abuja, Hon. Orelaja lamented what he described as the marginalization of TFG members—despite their pivotal role in securing victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 presidential elections.

According to him, “We stood firm, mobilized

across the country, and committed our resources to ensure President Tinubu’s victory. It is disheartening to see that those who sacrificed the most are now being sidelined while individuals from opposition backgrounds are being rewarded with appointments.”

Hon. Orelaja emphasized that the TFG played a critical role in grassroots mobilization across several states, and their contributions significantly impacted the success of the APC at the polls. He added that many loyal members who risked their reputations and livelihoods in support of the party are now being ignored in favor of those who were either passive or absent during the electioneering period.

He called on President Tinubu to adopt a more inclusive and equitable reward system that recognizes and compensates genuine loyalty and commitment. "The selection process for appointments must reflect fairness. Rewarding opposition figures while ignoring those who stood with the party sends the wrong message and could weaken the morale of our support base ahead of 2027,” he noted.

Hon. Orelaja further warned that the continued sidelining of grassroots groups such as the Tinubu Faithful Group (TFG) and the All Progressive Stakeholders Forum (APSF) could lead to disaffection within the party’s ranks.

Also speaking at the APC National Secretariat in Wuse 2, Abuja, on Tuesday, the President of the All Progressive Stakeholders Forum (APSF), Hajiya Maryam Danjaki, echoed Orelaja’s concerns. She cautioned that party loyalty must not be taken for granted.

“Inclusion is not a favor—it is a recognition of dedication, effort, and sacrifice toward a shared vision,” she said. “Ensuring stability within the APC leadership structure begins with acknowledging those who built the foundation of our current success.”

Both leaders emphasized the need for unity, fairness, and internal cohesion to secure the party’s long-term relevance and victory in future elections.
