YAYI TEACHERS STORM ODOGBOLU WITH GRAND INAUGURATION
The YAYI Teachers Movement has extended its political footprint with the grand inauguration of its Odogbolu Local Government Chapter on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at Idowa Town Hall, Ogun State. The colourful event brought together grassroots leaders, party stakeholders, and educators under the All Progressives Congress (APC), reinforcing the group’s growing influence across Ogun State.
Declaring the ceremony open, the Ogun State Coordinator of YAYI Teachers, Comrade Sunday Odunaro, officially inaugurated Comrade Awoniyi Abayomi Johnson (A.J.) as the Local Government Coordinator alongside other executives. He urged members to mobilize educators at the grassroots and strengthen support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), describing teachers as strategic political actors due to their influence in civic education and voter mobilization.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Awoniyi expressed gratitude to party leaders and supporters, acknowledging the generosity of Otunba Habib Olubigbile (BHO), Hon. Ola Olufunmiliayo, Hon. Adenowale Ojuri, Hon. Hakeem Awolesi, and Otunba Ambassador S. B. Orekoya. He also commended Hon. Ibrahim S.O.B. Adanla, former Education Secretary of Odogbolu LGA and Secretary of Caucus 7202 (Ogun East), for his mentorship and consistent support, describing him as “a dependable pillar of grassroots politics.”
Highlights of the Event
A major highlight was the decoration of Ambassador S. B. Orekoya as Patron of YAYI Teachers, Odogbolu Chapter. In his goodwill message, Orekoya described Senator Adeola as “a strong political wave in Ogun State that cannot be pulled down,” praising his record in education and empowerment. He pledged full support for YAYI Teachers, noting that “teachers always deliver accurate votes because they hardly cast void ballots,” a remark that drew loud applause.
Also honored was Prof. Abdul Waheed Ajibola-Omoluabi, Convener of Omoluabi for YAYI, Ogun State, who encouraged members to meet Senator Adeola’s expectations by delivering results at the grassroots.

In a resounding pledge, members of the Odogbolu Chapter vowed unflinching loyalty to Senator Adeola’s political ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections, while also declaring their readiness to support all APC candidates endorsed by Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The event ended with group photographs, vote of thanks, prayers, and refreshments, symbolizing the unity, enthusiasm, and renewed resolve of teachers committed to grassroots mobilization and nation-building.
