OGHA 2027: Ogunnaike Dey Move Sharp as Odogbolu APC Leaders Gather for Unity

Political matter for Odogbolu State Constituency don begin hot small-small as 2027 Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA) election dey come closer. Leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) don start serious consultations to make sure party strong, united, and ready for primaries.


As e be now, Elders and Stakeholder's for the party don dey waka round communities, dey hold meetings to build unity and find person wey fit represent people well-well without bias.


Igboro Lawa gather say the matter gain more attention when Hon. Dennis Akinwale Ogunnaike visit APC leaders and Elders for Odogbolu, where him declare say him wan contest for Assembly seat and also beg for their support and guidance.


From Odogbolu to Aiyepe, Omu, Ibido-Ogbo, Ibefun, Mobalufon, Okun, Ijagun, Erinlu, Imodi and Imosan, politics don comot from party office enter market, motor park and even junction talk. People no just dey look again—they dey reason who go really serve them.


For the meeting venue, everywhere calm but people dey observe sharply.

“I stand for back dey listen to everything,” na wetin Mr.  Babatunde, one artisan, talk.

“As I dey hear am, na the way he dey mention all wards I like. People don tire for one-side development. If na true he dey talk, things fit better.”


Big-big names for APC structure show face for the meeting. Baba Kalejaiye from Aiyepe, wey be strong party leader and member of Governor Advisory Council, dey there. Alhaji Idris Lawal, Chief Ganiu Odunlami, and Alhaji S.A. Saliu sef no miss.

Other people wey attend include Alhaji Adeyemi, Alhaja Halimot Brown, Chief Mrs. Oyinkansola Cole, and Hon. Bola Odumosu.

Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Dr. Babatunde Diya, Otunba Adewale Osinubi, and former Assembly member Hon. Adebowale Ojuri sef dey ground with other stakeholders.


Ogunnaike no come alone—him father, Engr. O.T. Ogunnaike (former NITEL Southwest Controller and ex-LG Chairman), lead the delegation, plus plenty political associates and grassroots mobilizers.


As Ogunnaike talk, he explain him background and wetin he don do before for the constituency. According to am, he don help create jobs for over 100 people, share learning materials, renovate schools for Ifesowapo Zone, install solar borehole for Erinlu, upgrade primary health centre, and fix some roads.

One market woman from Imodi, Mrs. Bose Ogunyemi, tell Igboro Lawa say:

Ogunnaike talk say him plan na to make sure development reach all 15 Wards, empower youth and women, and boost agriculture through agro-processing, especially with Industrial Platform Remo and Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport.


He still promise say he go follow Governor Dapo Abiodun development agenda to bring inclusive governance and better life for people.


Party leaders wey talk praise am for respecting party structure and consulting widely. Alhaji S.A. Saliu call am grassroots politician, while Baba Kalejaiye thank am for him contribution, including helping renovate APC Secretariat—but still remind say process must follow fairness and due procedure.


After the meeting, one transport union man, Alhaji Sulaiman Ajadi, yarn him mind give Igboro Lawa:

“Consultation good, but politics pass meeting. Make all aspirants come meet people. Na there we go know who really sabi Odogbolu.”


Meanwhile, artisans, transport unions, and CDAs don dey hold their own meetings, dey push for consensus to make party stronger.
