Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Sets October 15 for 4th Combined Convocation, 20th Anniversary
Five Academic Sessions to Be Celebrated as Institution Calls on Graduating Students to Confirm Status

IJEBU-IGBO, OGUN STATE — Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, has announced Thursday, October 15, 2026, as the date for its 4th Combined Convocation Ceremony, which will also mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the institution.
According to an official notice issued by the Polytechnic, the convocation ceremony will commence at 10:00 a.m. prompt at the Polytechnic Auditorium, Main Campus, Ijebu-Igbo.
The combined convocation will cover graduating students from five academic sessions — 2021/2022, 2022/2023, 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.
The development marks an important milestone for the institution as several sets of students will formally participate in the academic ceremony, while the Polytechnic simultaneously reflects on two decades of its establishment and institutional development.
20 Years of Academic Development
The forthcoming ceremony is expected to combine the traditional activities associated with the conferment of academic qualifications with a broader anniversary reflection on the history and development of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic.
The 20th anniversary celebration provides an opportunity for the institution, its students, alumni, staff, parents, stakeholders and the wider community to reflect on its journey since establishment.

In preparation for the ceremony, the Polytechnic has directed all concerned graduating students, with particular emphasis on the 2025/2026 set, to visit their respective departments immediately to confirm their graduation status.
The institution explained that students who have duly confirmed their graduation status are expected to proceed with the processing of their graduation clearance and payment of the designated convocation fee at the Bursary in preparation for the ceremony.
The notice also states that details concerning the convocation fee and collection of academic gowns will be communicated by the institution in due course.
The directive is particularly important for graduating students, as confirmation of academic status and completion of the required clearance processes form part of preparations for participation in the convocation.
Parents, Guests and Well-Wishers Invited
The Polytechnic has also extended an invitation to parents, invited guests and well-wishers to attend the ceremony.
The presence of families and members of the Polytechnic community is expected to add significance to the occasion, particularly for students who will be formally recognised for completing their respective programmes.
